Travel Insurance
Highly recommended. Coverage for trip cancellation and emergency medical expenses can be useful. You’ll sleep better, and your wallet will thank you if the unexpected pops up. Search on google for "travel insurance" or we can recommend a few options for you.
Before We Travel
What's not included
Your shopping sprees, food, drinks, gourmet “I deserve this” treats, tips for local guides, travel insurance, and baggage fees aren’t included. Basically, we cover the essentials—you cover the splurges
Double Occupancy
Prices are based on two guests sharing a room. Flying solo or want your own space? We can quote a single-room option for you.
Kids & Rooms
Kids are welcome! Anyone under 18 must share a room parent or legal guardian. Most rooms fit up to four people. If you add a 3rd or 4th traveler to your room, we apply a $300 discount for each of them.
Luggage Allowance
Due to train travel, we recommend one carry-on size suitcase and one personal bag per traveler. Keep in mind, in Venice there are no cars, so you will have to walk with your bags up and down stairs, bridges, and on old cobblestone paved roads. Travelers who choose to bring larger checked bags must be prepared to manage them independently, especially on trains and uneven terrain. You will be responsible for all baggage fees as well which can sometimes be as high as $150 each way.
Passport & Visas
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates—many countries refuse entry otherwise. If your destination requires a visa, we’ll help you understand the process (but you’re responsible for completing any required applications). For Italy, US citizens do not require a visa at this time.
Group Size & Activity Level
We travel in small groups—usually 6–8 travelers—so it feels like an experience, not a parade. Expect moderate daily walking, stairs, uneven terrain, and the usual European cobblestones doing their thing. If mobility or medical needs are a concern, contact us before booking to make sure this itinerary fits your abilities.
Skipping Activities
Want to sleep in, slow down, or go off-script for the day? Great. Just know the package price stays the same—activities are bundled, not à la carte.

Early Bird Discount! Book with deposit before 3/1/26 and each person will receive $200 off the regular price
Pay in Full at time of booking and receive $100 off per person
Add 3rd and 4th person to same room and receive $300 off their booking price.
Example 4 people in the same room paid in full and booked before 3/1/26 = $4100 * 4 = $16,400 - $800 (early bird discount per person) = $15, 600 - $400 (paid in full discount per person) = $15,200 - $600 (3rd and 4th person in the same room discount) = $14, 600 = SAVINGS OF $1800!

Payments
How You Can Pay
We accept all major credit cards (3% processing fee applies). To help you save, Debit and ACH payments have no fees. Customers are welcome to use debit, ACH, or other no-fee payment methods to avoid this surcharge.
Deposits & Deadlines
A $500 per-person deposit reserves your spot. Final payment is due 60 days before departure. All applicable dates and deadlines will be clearly printed on your original contract and invoice.
Do you have payment plans?
YES! We are able to automate and accept monthly payments with the stipulation that all payments must be made in full no later than 60 days before the departure date. When you proceed to check out you will see your options on our Stripe processing page.
Your Money's Safety: Trust Account
Tricdhis Hideaways is a registered California Seller of Travel (CST 2168103-40). Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the state of California. All customer funds are held in a designated travel trust account and can only be used to pay for your travel services. This is required by California law and protects your payments.
California Extras
If you are physically located in California at the time you pay, you may be eligible for TCRF reimbursement if a registered Seller of Travel fails to provide contracted services. If you are outside California when you book, TCRF does not apply.

Contract Transparency
All payment deadlines, cancellation deadlines, and relevant dates will be included on your original contract and invoice. That way, you always know exactly when payments and cancellation deadlines fall.
When is full payment due?
Full Payment is due at least 60 days before departure. Please see our cancellation FAQ regarding trips that are not paid in full in time.
Cancellations
What Happens if We Cancel Your Trip
Upon cancellation of travel services where the passenger is not at fault and did not cancel in violation of any terms previously disclosed and agreed to, all payments made for services not provided will be refunded promptly in accordance with California law.
Payment Default
If full payment is not received by 60 days before departure, you will be given a 15 day grace period to pay the balance in full, extending the final due date to 45 days before departure. After the grace period, if the full payment is still not received then the booking is considered canceled; you will forfeit the $500 deposit per person, and you will receive an immediate refund minus the cost of any non-refundable purchases.

Third Party Travel Supplier
Tricdhis Hideaways acts as an agent for third-party travel suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, car rental companies, and activity providers). We do not own, manage, or operate these services.
Supplier's Terms Apply: When you book a trip through us, you are entering into a separate contract with the individual third-party supplier(s). Your travel is subject to their terms, conditions, and liability policies. We will make reasonable efforts to provide you with access to these terms, but it is ultimately your responsibility to review and comply with them.
Supplier Responsibility: The third-party supplier is solely responsible for providing the booked service (e.g., transportation, accommodation, etc.).
Limitation of Liability: Tricdhis Hideaways is not responsible or liable for any acts, errors, omissions, financial default, injury, property damage, loss, accident, delays, or irregularity by any third-party supplier, or for any circumstances beyond our control (such as weather, war, civil unrest, or force majeure events).
By booking, you acknowledge that you accept the risks inherent in travel and agree to look solely to the respective supplier for any remedies related to the performance of their services.
The California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund (TCRF)
Yes. Tricdhis Hideaways is a part of the California TCRF. IF you are located in California at the time of the transaction then your purchase is covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund (TCRF). Eligible passengers may file a claim with TCRF if the passenger is owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services which the seller of travel failed to forward to a proper provider or such money was not refunded to you when required. The maximum amount which may be paid by the TCRF to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000. A claim must be submitted to the TCRF within 12 months after the scheduled completion date of the travel. A claim must include sufficient documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee. Claimants must agree to waive their right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a TCRF claim. You may request a claim form by writing to: Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation; 468 Manzanita Ave., Suite 1, Chico, CA 95926; or by visiting TCRF’s website at: www.tcrcinfo.org.
If you are NOT in California when you make the purchase then your purchase is NOT covered by the California TCRF.

Media Capture and Usage
By traveling with Tricdhis Hideaways, you give permission for Tricdhis Hideaways to take and use photos and videos of you during the trip for promotional and advertising purposes, including on our website, social media, and printed materials, without additional compensation. If you do not wish to be included, please notify us in writing before the trip and remind your trip leader on site.
